Dear Friends of KWS I regret to report the death of Kenya Wildlife Service ranger Seneu Ole Narakake (KWS/5590) who was killed on 19th June, 2011 during a gun battle with a poaching gang at Namambo/ Lotongot area in South Turkana – the remote northwest part of Kenya.
Ranger Narakake will be laid to rest on Friday 24th June, 2011 at Ewaso Nyiro.
I have requested further information about Ranger Narakake and the incident, and will relay this to you once I have received any news.
May he rest in peace.
