Hi, Alex. Thought a resident of the third-world should take you up on your e-mailed SPS offer and check you out. Now I have to add another site to my Favorites

By the way, until recently I was investing in a telephone company in eastern Congo, mainly in Kisingani (sp?) and two cities to the east on a big lake, I believe, one of which recently had a little problem with a volcano--ah, Goma. But some of our partners didn't partner as well as we had hoped, so we closed up shop and retreated back to the more nurturing environment of Somalia where most of the telephone companies started by my brother are.
Best, Chuck
P.S. In the absence of anything better to say about myself and eastern Congo, I am making my role in this sound somewhat (to put it mildly) more significant than it is; my brother (who a few years after yours and my graduation, gave an excellent, but to some, notorious speech to the alumni and the school at Anniversary)deserves all the credit for these business/altruistic ventures.

Dear Raymond Johnson:
To answer... I've been trying to attract more birds to my back yard. When Hawks began to show up I realized what awesome strides had been made over the last several decades with conservation. I looked for a Westchester NY, Hawk society and wound up reading a story from this site. 10 Years ago it would have taken me a day to learn what I have learned in 15 minutes on this site.
To get "your" message out contribute to a web site that gets hit within the first 5 Google listings.
Oh yea... Don't preach, Teach.

Thanks for telling it like it is. How can we get the message out to people that the world is at a turning point? Preaching to the converted is fine but how do we get more converts?

My spouse & I greatly enjoyed the gathering at John Brown Farm last August. It's sites like this and Lysistraproject.org that keep the hopes up and move us on.

Ah, Hello My Far-Flung Friend,
I have been enjoying your work in The Spook and Metropole for some time now. When are you going to do a story on Presidential Ghosts that haunt the Web?
Yours Truly,
A.L.
